Who invented the silent letter?

On the island, lightening gnashes into the calm like a bomb. And, like the column of light, the silent letter makes no sound itself. It is a ghost, chalky and white. But why is it there, this benign unknown?

What if they aren’t benign? What if they don’t speak, but listen? Perhaps the silent letter is in fact a tool of espionage! But who are they working for and what do they want with us? Their actions seem to be motivated by greed, lust and Arkansas. They apparently assassinated JFK because he didn’t give a damn. They made Elvis disappear for the King had too long a reign. They took Donald Trumps hair from him as he slept in his yacht.

Every silent letter is a suspect. Know who to trust…
